Sephora Fully Commits to Combatting Racial Bias Within the Beauty Industry

Sephora is a thriving personal care and beauty retailer growing in more ways than one. They were ready to set in motion their plan to open up 100 stores despite COVID-19's effects. Sephora is also growing in their efforts to dismantle racial bias, which has been historically putting African American and Black people at a disadvantage for jobs in the beauty industry. Customers of color, especially, have been susceptible to the affects of racially biased and exclusionary treatment (RBET). This article features insight from Dr. Cassi Pittman Claytor and Sephora's Chief Marketing Officer; both are very qualified individuals concerning beauty industry issues.
